THE ORIGIN OF THE PROJECT

A passion can be born in a single instant, from an emotion.

For me, it all began at the age of 20, with a gift from my father: a chronograph watch.

That moment ignited my love for watchmaking.

Next year, DONE will celebrate its tenth anniversary, a decade guided by passion, precision, and a taste for detail.

To mark this symbolic milestone, I wanted to return to the origins, to what first awakened my love of fine mechanics, by creating my own chronograph.

CLEARLY

MECHANICAL

Since the beginning of the adventure in 2016, eight models have been released, each expressing my vision and commitment to fine watchmaking.

With this ninth model, named “NINE IN TEN”, a new chapter begins, one that remains more faithful than ever to the brand’s DNA.

INSPIRATION

For this project, I drew inspiration from vintage chronographs, with their pure lines and elegant, slender pushers.

I wanted to recapture those balanced proportions, hence the 40 mm case, the ideal size to house a chronograph calibre without compromising wrist harmony.

The dial features a bi-compax layout, with two counters at 3 and 9 o’clock, a nod to the iconic chronographs of the past and their renowned readability.

The main challenge with this type of movement lies in its height. I therefore worked on the balance of volumes to achieve a watch that feels visually slim and comfortable to wear.

Rather than accentuating the case back, I chose to balance the profile with two “box” sapphire crystals, domed on both sides.

This design pays homage to the aesthetics of vintage watches while revealing the beautiful mechanics,  especially the oscillating mass, visible even from the side.

LE MOUVEMENT

SWISS MECHANICAL EXCELLENCE
Based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, at the heart of Swiss watchmaking, La Joux-Perret develops and manufactures mechanical calibres for numerous prestigious brands. Renowned for the quality of its movements, the manufacture combines tradition, precision, and refined finishing, offering a wide range of automatic, chronograph, and even tourbillon calibres.
CHRONOGRAPH CALIBRE
From the series of movements produced by La Joux-Perret, we chose the reference L111, a bi-compax chronograph (3H-9H) with a 30-minute counter and date at 6H.
A STORY OF COLLABORATION
Born from a creative exchange with La Joux-Perret, we adapted the existing architecture into a semi-skeletonized version designed to showcase both the mechanics and the calendar function. The ruthenium finishes and skeletonized date disc enhance the visual reading of the movement, while the sapphire dial plays with transparency, adding great depth to the whole. A project that combines technical precision and contemporary aesthetics, in perfect balance.
CHRONOMETER-CERTIFIED CALIBRE
Each model is certified by the COSC, guaranteeing chronometer precision between –4 and +6 seconds per day.

SPECIFICATIONS

CASE
Machined in 316L stainless steel (1.4435), the case measures 40 mm in diameter with a total thickness of 14.20 mm (only 9.25 mm without the sapphire crystals). Its two “box” sapphire crystals, extra-hard and anti-reflective, ensure optimal readability and exceptional scratch resistance. Designed to last, the watch is water-resistant to 10 ATM / 100 meters.
MOVEMENT
The La Joux-Perret L111 bi-compax calibre, personalized in the “DONE Skeleton” version, displays hours, minutes, and seconds, with date at 6 o’clock and a 30-minute chronograph. Beating at 4 Hz (28,800 A/h), it offers a 60-hour power reserve and features a column-wheel chronograph system. Its anthracite/ruthenium finishes, decorated with Geneva stripes, skeletonized date disc, and a signed “DONE” oscillating weight, demonstrate a meticulous attention to detail. COSC-certified, it guarantees precision between –4 and +6 seconds per day.
STRAP
The strap is made from FKM rubber, both durable and comfortable. It features a quick-release system with spring bars and measures 20/18 mm in width and 115/70 mm in length, perfectly balanced on the wrist. It is paired with a 316L steel deployant clasp, elegantly signed DONE.
DIAL AND HANDS
The sapphire dial has a double-sided anti-reflective coating. Its black opaline flange is enhanced with Super-Luminova BGW9 Grade A at each hour marker, ensuring excellent visibility in the dark. A silicone gasket beneath the dial acts as a shock-absorbing system, reinforcing the watch’s overall durability. The faceted, diamond-cut hands, also filled with Super-Luminova BGW9 Grade A, complete the ensemble beautifully.
WATCH BOX
Each watch is presented in a genuine leather case, designed as an elegant and practical travel pouch capable of holding multiple straps.
